(got lost in Hat Yai - where in the world is that?)
Besides the destination topic, ‘potty’ topic was a part of our daily discussions too! I don’t mean to be gross, but that naturally happened, especially when we were about to have a long road trip to the north. Hehehehe…
This was so awkward. The guy at the front desk said 8 hrs to get to Krabi. In fact, it didn’t include the van transfer in Hat Yai. So that time we were shocked when the driver told us to get off the car and wait at the agency. The lady there told us that we still had 3.5 hrs to wait for the van to Krabi Town. So we walked around the shopping center and stopped at a coffee shop for the wi-fi. We felt stupid and tricked, we didn’t even know where we were. But thank God it’s Novotel’s café. At least it was cozy and not too pricey for the good wi-fi and a cup of coffee.
Later we passed the waiting time and there’s another van bringing us to Krabi Town, right in front of our cute hostel, made with a concept as a school (I think). We’re put in a female dorm named PE room. Next to it were Art Room, IT room, and Math room. Cool idea! All the bad things were paid by seeing the facilities and cleanliness of the hostel. There were 10 beds inside the dorm and we made friends with 3 English ladies who had the same journey in the day after. No hesitation, we decided to travel together.
A little funny thing, ever since we came to Thailand at the first time, people always thought us as Thais. The spoke to us in their language and later we always replied in broken English: “No speak Thai. English please.”
