We woke up lazily and our first agenda was church! Yes, we went to New Creation Church. It was so Singaporean, queuing everywhere including at the hall where we were still waiting for the first service ended. The church was located in Suntec City, the closest church we found, so we also had lunch there at the food court. Ejin and I shared Indian dishes while Tika had fish soup with milk.
We went back to hostel again after lunch because we had clothes to iron (We’re – or I only? – already running out of clothes in Singapore, so we ordered the laundry). We had to take turn to iron because there’s only one iron and one board. I observed, when we need to take turn about something, Tika was always the first, Ejin the second, and I was the last. I guess it proves who the diligent, the more diligent, and the most diligent are. This order only happened in reverse when we’re in Phuket after the Phi-Phi island trip. Tika chose to be the last to use the bathroom so there are no more people waiting after her.
5 PM in the evening I made a meet up with Luis, a Couch Surfing friend. He’s from Spain but he had been living in Singapore for two months for working. He said he would be late so we took a walk around Boat Quay to Esplanade and changed our meeting point at Esplanade. I didn’t know that he didn’t know Esplanade. I thought he was joking when he texted ‘Is that the building with spikes?’, but he wasn’t. We were like 4 tourists walking together. Hahaha.

He remembered that I mentioned ‘non touristic’ on my email, so he suggested Fort Canning park. The three of us had never been there, so why not?
He leaded the walking to the park and I liked that place, especially because that’s new for us. Inside the park, there’re many signage and historical explanation about the objects there. All were written in English and Melayu, and every time we saw the Melayu one, we always laughed because it was funny for us. Later on, language became our topic with Luis. He also gave some short examples of Spanish conversation and suddenly I thought ‘hey, there’s a real Spanish guy speaking Spanish in front of me!’ To me, that’s amazing because I just never had that before.
We didn’t end this day too late. Luis had to prepare his work so he left us at dinner and we walked back to the hostel after it. Again, the group of the same people had occupied the dining room. The matter was only because they were many and big, and the room looked so full. Tika was having her peace of world in front of the computer. Ejin and I were just relaxing our butts on a cozy sofa in the living room. There were two girls watching DVD and I tried to be cool to join (I just wanted the more comfy sofa over there), and later on my other two fellows joined.
